Poetry Prompt #5 – Happy Easter :)

Happy Easter 🙂

Poetry prompt: What if God was a rabbit?

————————————————————————-

Here’s a wonderful poem by the talented and prolific Rita Recine 🙂

If God was a rabbit
by Rita Recine

If God was a rabbit
If God was a rabbit He would teach us to share.

Whether it is prayer or chocolates bought in the store
Easter is believing.

Whether it is the rising of Christ or the bunny rabbit
No need to compare.

If God was a rabbit He would teach us to love
On earth or up above.

If God was a rabbit,
He would teach us about emotional connection, reflection.

God, as our pet rabbit can provide all that we need.
Whether we receive a smile or do a good deed.
We may speak of God.
His resurrection or the bunny rabbit,
It is goodness not a habit.

All touch your heart and soul.
God similar to a pet rabbit. With their presence
It may make one whole.

If God was a rabbit He would want us to rejoice with glee,
Providing love and compassion,
for you and me.
For our friends, our families.
This is my poem I write in my own way
The rabbit and the Lord on resurrection day
